Licensing and archiving policy
Principles of licensing
By sending a manuscript to the journal for publishig the author(s) transfers his/her/their exclusive rights to the article and all illustrations within it (including picture(s) of the author(s)) to the Federal State Budgetary Educational Organisation of Higher Education «The Ural State Law University» (the Publisher) under Art. 1285 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, free of charge. By sending a manuscript and related materials the author(s) guarantees that he/she/they is(are) the right holder(s) of the article and the materials and that exclusive right to these works was not transfered or delivered to anyone before.
Since receiving the article and related materials (further «works») the Publisher has obtained the exclusive right to use these works without restrictions throughout the world and during the term of copiright protection but with compulsory indicating the name(s) of the author(s) of the work. In particular, the Publisher has the following rights: to publish a work, to translate it into other languages and publish translated versions, to post the work in the Internet, and to use in other ways not prohibited by the law.
Open access declaration
The Publisher follows the idea of open access to the information published in the journal. All the research articles are published in the journal under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 license («Attribution 4.0 International») and related provisions of Art. 1286.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation («Open license»). This license lets others (including the author(s) of the article) distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as they credit the author(s) for the original creation. By sending a manuscript, the author(s) agrees with using the work under this type of license.
According to the Open access declaration, all the articles published in the journal are availavle in the Internet 24 hours a day and 365/366 days a year free of charge.
Archiving and self-archiving policy
The Publisher provides archiving of all the articles published in the journal and meta-data (titles, key words, abstracts, authors’ information, referencesin Russian and English). Archiving, indexing and depositing the articles are exercised by the Scientific Electronic Library (eLIBRARY) — national provider of electronic archives of scientific journals and provider of the Russian Index of scientific citation (RISC Science Index) under the contract No 816-12/2014. All articles are hosted and made publicy available at the eLIBRARY website. The critical provision of archiving is free open access of readers to full texts of all articles.
Since 2014 all the articles also have been hosted in open access at the «Cyberleninka» Scientific Electronic Library website.
The Publisher recognizes the authors’ right to self-archiving of their articles after such articles had published in the printed version of the journal. Self-archiving can be performed by posting the article (or a part of the article) in a personal website of the author, blog, social media pages as well as py sending the article to open repositories of scientific information and open libraries throughout the world provided acknowledgement is given to the original source of publication and an active link is inserted to the published article on the journal’s website or the eLIBRARY website.
